At Figtree Croydon Early Centre, we strive to create learning experiences that are tailored to each child’s unique learning style. Our program focuses on providing a wide range of activities that support the development of children in the cognitive and creative, social, emotional, physical and language domains.

We recognise that learning happens best through play and exploration, so our focus is on the process of activities rather than on having children produce a specific outcome. Our goal is to provide stimulating and enjoyable experiences that will help children grow and develop.

Small group play, one-to-one interactions with Educators, and independent play are all great ways to help children who are 3 to 5 years old, explore and discover the world around them.

By providing a variety of interactions with peers and adults, children will be able to engage in meaningful conversations, problem-solve, and develop their self-esteem. Additionally, independent play will give children the opportunity to use their imaginations and practice developing their own ideas and strategies.

We believe that children should be given the opportunity to develop their full potential by exploring and learning, and that a safe, nurturing environment is key to helping them reach their goals.

At Figtree, we strive to foster self-esteem, emotional well-being, communication, socialisation, and self-help skills in our program, and ensure that our Centre is a place of cooperation, kindness, and respect.

Educators are dedicated to helping children become initiators, investigators, explorers, problem solvers, and creators, and to develop a caring and responsible attitude towards others.

Educators support children to present their ideas in creative and meaningful ways, which may include drawing, painting, verbal description, physical movement, storytelling, writing or socio-dramatic play. Our Educators are knowledgeable and patient when guiding children in small groups or one-on-one. Through these activities, children learn to express themselves in new and exciting ways.
